Welcome to The Sanctuary of the Heart, a private retreat space offering a curated range of personal development services, immersive experiences, and exclusive venue hire. By engaging with any of our services, attending events, or booking our facilities, you agree to the following terms and conditions

Scope of Services

We provide:

Personal coaching and integrative support (including intimacy and relationship guidance)
Workshops and retreats focused on self-development and consciousness expansion
Sacred ceremonies (including sacred plant medicine-assisted and MDMA-assisted therapeutic sessions)
Venue and accommodation hire for private events and practitioner-led experiences

GENERAL

Booking and Payment Terms

All bookings require upfront payment via EFT unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
Proof of payment to be sent via WhatsApp to +27 82 925 9969 or +27 82 866 6457.
Online payment portal options will be available soon.
No bookings are confirmed without full payment.
Quotes remain valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated.

Refunds and Cancellations

All bookings are non-refundable, including events, ceremonies, and accommodation.
In the event of postponement or cancellation by us, credit will be held for future bookings.
Transfers to another participant may be considered with prior written approval. Read more

This website and its content are provided “as is.” Sanctuary of the Heart makes no warranties, express or implied, about the content’s accuracy or availability. We do not provide professional legal, financial, or medical advice. Always consult a qualified professional for such matters. The Sanctuary of the Heart offers services rooted in traditional spiritual and wellness practices.

We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Expanded state experiences are offered within safe, intentional containers and are not suitable for everyone. All participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

All expanded consciousness-assisted therapies or modalities offered are facilitated within a guided, voluntary, and informed-consent environment.
Participation in these sessions is entirely at your own discretion and risk.
You are encouraged to consult with a medical or psychological professional if unsure about participation.

By booking or participating in any event, session, or retreat involving expanded states of consciousness (including but not limited to MDMA-Assisted Therapy, Psilocybin, Ayahuasca, and breathwork), you acknowledge that:

This work is non-clinical, non-medical, and offered through a coaching, ceremonial, or integrative therapeutic framework.
*We do not provide, supply, or sell any controlled substances. Participation may involve experiences where the individual supply their own medicine, in a personal capacity, and does so at their own discretion and risk.
All support is grounded in harm-reduction principles and trauma-informed facilitation, rooted in respect, presence, and personal agency.
Participation is voluntary. You are responsible for your own mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing at all times.

Venue Hire and Liability

The Sanctuary of the Heart provides its venue and accommodation as a container for growth, connection, and exploration.
We are not responsible for the services or outcomes of independently contracted facilitators, therapists, or event hosts using our venue.
Venue users must respect the space and surrounding environment. Damages to property will be charged accordingly.

Participant Responsibility
By attending any event, workshop, or retreat:

You confirm that you are participating voluntarily.
You accept full responsibility for your own well-being, behaviour, and decisions.
You agree to communicate with integrity and uphold the shared respect of others in the space.

Age Restriction

You must be at least 18 years old to use this website. By accessing and using this site, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Photography and Media:

By booking, you consent to photos or videos taken during public workshops or events being used for promotional purposes unless you specifically opt out, and within reason. Discretion will be applied to ensure we keep space sacred, personal growth private and experiences exclusive. Permissions will be obtained as and when required depending on the type of media being used.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, Sanctuary of the Heart and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights in all content on this website. All rights are reserved.

You may:

You may not:

Republish or reproduce any website content for commercial purposes
Sell, rent, or sub-license material from the site

Acceptable Use

“User content” includes any materials (text, images, audio, etc.) that you submit to the site.

By submitting content, you grant Sanctuary of the Heart a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish, translate and distribute that content in any existing or future media. You also permit us to sublicense those rights.

You confirm that your content:

Is lawful and does not violate any third-party rights
Has not been the subject of legal proceedings

We reserve the right to edit or remove any user content without notice.

Limitations of Liability

Sanctuary of the Heart will not be held liable for:

Any indirect or consequential losses
Loss of business, data, or profits
Any event where the website is unavailable

These limitations apply even if Sanctuary of the Heart has been advised of potential losses.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Sanctuary of the Heart harmless against any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of this website or breach of these terms.

Variation

We may revise these terms from time to time. Updated terms become effective when published on this site. Please check regularly.

Assignment

Sanctuary of the Heart may transfer its rights under these terms without notification. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without written permission.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Entire Agreement

These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Sanctuary of the Heart regarding your use of this website.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by South African law. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.

Coaching Sessions

A Session may be carried out over the phone, online or in person at mutually agreed places and times during the coaching period. Intimacy Coaching and body work sessions take place our offices.

Duration of Sessions

The duration of the sessions will be approximately 1 hour (Duration's may vary pending chosen services).

It is expected of both parties to be on time for all sessions, whether these take place either telepathically or one-on-one.

Session Times

Times for coaching sessions may only be changed by you when given no less than 24 hours notice.

If you cancel more than 3 Sessions during the period, we may terminate this agreement on notice to you. Session may be rescheduled for an agreed time.

Engagement of Coach

I shall provide coaching to you during the agreed period at mutually agreed times and places. I shall use my best endeavors to make myself available for the entire period.

Preparation for Sessions

It will be expected of you the client to perform all actions forming part of the coaching process to enable you to perform any act or matter in the preparation for future sessions as determined during the sessions.

This agreement will be terminated should you not comply with the action agreement agreed to during coaching sessions.

Termination of Coaching Agreement:

Both parties may terminate this agreement before the end of the period by means of a written notice a minimum of five working days prior to the next coaching session.

Venue and Accommodation

Booking & Payment

A minimum 30% deposit is required upon booking to secure your stay or studio booking.
The full payment must be received at least 14 days before your arrival or event date.
Bookings placed within 14 days of arrival must be paid in full upon confirmation.
Availability is only guaranteed once payment is confirmed in writing.
Payment is accepted via EFT or secure online portal (e.g., PayFast).

Cancellation & Refund Policy

60+ days before reservation: Full refund of deposit less a 10% administration fee.
30–59 days before reservation: 50% of deposit refunded.
Less than 30 days or no-shows: No refund; full amount payable.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing (email or WhatsApp).
If cancellation is due to government restriction (e.g. travel ban), credit may be offered for a future booking within 12 months, subject to availability.

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in: from 14:00
Check-out: by 10:00
Early check-in or late check-out is accommodated only by prior arrangement and may incur additional fees.
Failure to check out on time may result in additional charges per hour or half-day, at our discretion.

Guest Conduct & House Rules

The Sanctuary is a quiet, sacred container of reflection and presence. Guests are expected to respect the space, other guests, and the natural environment.
No unregistered visitors, parties, or ceremonies are allowed without prior written approval.
Smoking is only allowed in outdoor-designated areas.
No recreational drugs, incense, or open flames (where not permitted).
Noise levels must be kept low, especially between 21:00 and 08:00.

Use of The Heart Studio (Venue Hire)

Venue hire requires a separate written agreement including use dates, purpose, fees, and responsibilities.
A refundable R1,000 security deposit is required, refundable post-event provided no damage or loss has occurred.
You are responsible for setup, pack-down, and leaving the space clean and tidy.
Any sound equipment, amplified music, bonfires, or open flames must be pre-approved in writing.

Liability & Indemnity

Guests use the property and facilities at their own risk. We are not responsible for injury, loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
Owners, staff, or associates are not liable for accidents or disturbances caused by natural elements, power outages, or unpredictable circumstances.
Any injuries or damage must be reported immediately to management.
Appropriately supervising children or pets (if allowed) is the guest’s responsibility.

Damages & Cleanliness

Guests are liable for any damage, theft, or excessive cleaning required. Repair/replacement costs will be deducted from the security deposit or charged separately.
Please leave accommodation and venue spaces in a reasonably clean state.

Children & Pets

Young children must be supervised at all times throughout the property, especially near water features.
Pets are allowed only with prior authorization, must be well-behaved, and remain under the owner’s control.

Force Majeure

Sanctuary of the Heart is not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, government restrictions).
We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel with offered credit or full refund, depending on circumstances.

Right of Admission & Termination

We reserve the right to refuse a booking or evict a guest at any time if terms are breached or if behaviour is unsafe or disruptive, with no obligation for refund.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
Any disputes will be resolved through mediation or local courts in Johannesburg.

To ensure a safe, welcoming environment:

Harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated.
Substance use outside of structured ceremony contexts is prohibited.
Consent and boundaries must be respected at all times.

Respect and Safety

Your well-being, safety, and choice are always prioritised.

Sessions are client-centred. You are free to stop or decline any activity at any time.

Consent and Boundaries

Boundaries will be discussed and agreed upon before each session.

Physical touch (if relevant) is clothed, consensual, and always one-directional (from practitioner to client).

You may adjust or withdraw consent at any time.

Professional Integrity

No romantic or sexual contact is permitted between clients and practitioners. If attraction arises, all professional interaction will cease for a minimum of six (6) months. We will not engage in sessions under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.

Intimate and Energetic Bodywork (if applicable)

If a session includes intimate or somatic bodywork, gloves and approved lubricants will be used.

These practices are offered with full transparency, consent, and only where appropriate.

Ethical Practice

We work within our scope of training. If needed, we will refer you to a more suitable professional.

Cancellations

and refunds policy

Goods and services relating to purchases through PayPal, EFT, Yoco, Credit / Debit Card or Cash. We reserve the right to retain 20% as admin fee for any refund that may be offered. All refunds are subject to approval by the founders, and decisions are final.

Refunds will be declined in the event that:

Materials have been received / posted to the individual;

Gained access to the digital content for review,
Downloaded or received any / all content regardless of format (Physical copies / digital downloads or viewing).
the students / coachees fail to attend the required classes, sessions etc.

For Programmes & Courses

Once a programme has started, no refunds are issued.
If you cancel before the start date due to unforeseen circumstances, we may offer a credit or partial refund.
Learners are responsible for their own internet, travel and accommodation arrangements, as well as incidental costs such as telephone calls, copies etc.
The student, coachee must return any and all materials in the same condition as received, as soon as possible and at the students’ own cost and risk. When doing so the student should state his / her name, address, invoice number and the reason for cancellation. The students are liable for all costs incurred in returning the goods to;

For Ceremonies, Retreats & Events

No refunds are granted for cancellations made within 14 days of the event.
75% refund applies to cancellations made 15–30 days before the event.
No-shows, late arrivals, or early departures are non-refundable.
Tickets are non-transferable unless approved in writing.

A pre-screening call may be required prior to acceptance.
Shared accommodation is standard unless otherwise arranged.
Punctuality, respect for the space, and honouring the community container are expected.
Ceremony spaces may not be entered late.
